January 7

Second day off school from school due to frigid temperatures. It broke the record set in 1885. I spent the day cleaning and throwing out extra stuff. I came up with seven extra garbage bags. Good day. 

Also. I threw boiling water outside and it turned to steam.  It might be time to go back to school.

January 6

We had an unexpected day off (and tomorrow) because there are record low temperatures outside.  It is 30 below with the wind chill. It is cold !!!!!! Even OSU was off and Caitlyn came home for a little bit.  Of course Bo did something funny. I might have to make this 365 days of Bo.

Steve started his new job at Cardinal Consulting. He was excited and nervous at the same time.  He said his first day went well.  

The sad part of today is we had to put our cat Lucy to sleep today. She was 16 years old and really sick.  Lucy was Caitlyn's cat and she made the call. She was sad but really brave.  I was proud of her. Lucy is in a better place and I will miss her. 

January 5

Today was the last day of Christmas break. I spent the day cleaning up the house and working on the never ending pile of laundry. Record cold weather is in the forecast so there is a good chance we won't have school tomorrow.  I have a stack of homework I decided to take a chance and not grade. Brandon is doing the same and had a book he is supposed to have finished.  

January 3

Brandon and BO just hanging out, watching TV and eating pomegranates. Brandon and I are watching Flashpoint on TV. Over Christmas break I watched all of the first two seasons of Arrow and almost 38 episodes of Flashpoint. I don't know whether to be proud or ashamed.

January 2

Snowy snowy day. It would have been a snow day had we been home.  Caitlyn, Ryley and I drove to Columbus state this morning to get Ryley signed up for classes.  Driving in the snow was scary but I think he is on track.  Brandon comes home from Florida tonight.

January 1

First day of the year.  2013 was a tough year but 2014 will be better. I'm working on organization today. I also worked on my perpetual project to clean out the house of all our extra stuff.
